Sales and Commissions Terms and Conditions

Work carried out by me for you will be bound by written or digital agreement of an estimate.  The estimate will be the 'contract'.

Once initial discussions have taken place and you agree to proceed, I will send you an estimate in which a full description of the work will be described, a quote and request for non refundable deposit.

Work will begin on agreement, payment of the non-refundable deposit and receipt of materials required.

Revisions

Prices quoted for commissions do not include revisions or changes.  You must be satisfied with the final look and design of the project, so good communication can limit the revisions to just minor changes avoiding expensive rework.

Most changes cannot be accommodated once carving, tooling, dying and molding has taken place.  Major changes may incur a restart of the project, which could double the cost of the project.

Additional Costs

The client will be liable for additional delivery, shipping or mileage costs incurred.

Refusals/returns/cancellation

If you do not wish to purchase the final product or partially finished product, I will retain all the artwork, materials purchased and the non-refundable deposit.

In the case of items given to me to customise, refurbish, repair, restore or rebuild I will return your item “as is” at the time of cancellation.  This may mean that the item will be uncovered or stripped or dismantled and non-functional.

Any fees for work completed based on the contract price and expenses already incurred shall be paid by the client.

This is free of any claims or interests to the client and the client will not incur any additional fees.

Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only with Claims.

I shall not incur any liability or penalty for delays in the completion of the project due to actions of the client, unusual transportation delays, unforeseen illness, or external forces beyond my control. If such event(s) occur, it shall entitle me to extend the completion/delivery date, by the time equivalent to the period of such delay.

Claims for defects, damages and/or shortages must be made by the client on receipt of all or part of the commissioned work.

Failure to make such claim on receipt of the commissioned work shall constitute irrevocable acceptance and an admission that the client fully agrees to the terms, conditions and specifications.

Proofing

This is a hand-crafted product product made with natural leather. On close inspection you may find “flaws” such as in the tooling, dying, lacing or even in the leather, which may have natural range marks from barbed fencing, etc.

I shall make every effort to ensure the product is free of any defects before giving the product to the client.

It is agreed that I am not responsible or held liable for any defects contained in the product after the product has been delivered and accepted by the client.

Payment terms

Payment of each invoice is due on Net 14 days of the invoice date.

I accept part payments.  Please call me if you wish to discuss payment terms.

Late payments will incur additional fees of up to 5% above the Bank of England base rate.
